Detailed Itinerary:

​

First start from your hotel in the morning by 7:00 o’clock and drive to Emeishan. Emeishan is located 170 km south to Chengdu, taking about 2.5 hours by driving. You will arrive at the base of Mount Emei by around 9:30 in the morning.

​

Emeishan is the Chinese name of Mount Emei. It is one of the 4 great Buddhist Mountains in China. It has been recognized as one of the original places in Martial Arts stories in China. It was listed along with Leshan Buddha as a World Heritage Site in the 1990's due to its rich nature and significance of its cultural status. Mount Emei is a big place. Emeishan is also home to Tibetan Macoks, who have find Emei as their home long ago. A dozen of Buddhist temples were built and kept its original style in Mount Emei.

The visit to Mount Emei starts after a bus ride to Leidongping Car Park. This ride will take about 1.5 hours. And start to walk for 20 minutes to the cable car station. After the cable car ride, keep walking to the summit of Mount Emei. Walk around the summit of Emeishan to take photos and see the golden and silver temples by the top.

After the visit and walk by the summit, go back the same way to the base of Mount Emei.

And from the base of the mountain, you will be transferred back to Chengdu to be dropped off to your hotel or anywhere in the city that you prefer. You will arrive in Chengdu by around 7.00 pm usually.

Travel Tips:

 

1.Walking is leisure walking but you will need to get up early in the morning. So make sure that you had good rest the former night.

2.This tour goes to the upper part of Mount Emei. Upper part of Emeishan is usually crowded with lots of visitors. 

3.You have a very high chance to see monkeys. When you see them, be aware of the monkeys. They steal!

4. In winter the walking can be tricky as there maybe lots of snow on the walking path. 

5.This tour can be altered according to your preference, if you just want to see some monkeys and not to be so strenuous, or you want to do some walking but want to avoid the crowds, etc. We can customize for you.
