Detailed Itinerary:

Tour starts by your hotel at 08:00am where your guide will pick you up and drive for around 2 hours from Chengdu into the mountains of Qionglaishan Range. We will arrive in Wolong by around 10am and start to visit the pandas after check in. We should be able to catch the feeding time by around 10:30am each day and watch the pandas at their most active time of the day. The whole panda base is located in the mountains at around 2000m and above, the actual natural habitat of giant pandas. This panda base is thought to have the closest natural environment as that of wild pandas: temperature, altitude, moister level. 

We will visit the base for total around 2-3 hours before we check out and go find place to eat lunch. Then we will drive higher to Panda Mountain and do a 2-3 hours walking to the open grassland on the ridge and have very scenic views of the mountains around. Often we will see fog or cloud moving over the mountains and the mountains have different colors in different seasons. We will also have chance to see different birds here. Bring your binoculars if you are a bird people. 

 

Travel Tips:

 

1, Wolong Panda Base is in general a quiet panda base and usually has less people than other panda bases;
2,this tour involves hiking for around 5-6km, but if you don't prefer hiking we can change the activity to other activities;
3, this tour starts and ends by Chengdu and involves driving for 2+2 hours;
