Detailed Itinerary:

Day1 Chengdu - Emei
First start from your hotel in the morning by 7:30 am and drive to Emeishan. Emeishan is located 170 km south from Chengdu, taking about 2.5 hours by driving. You will arrive at the base of Mount Emei by around 10:00 in the morning.
Emeishan is the Chinese name of Mount Emei. It is one of the 4 great Buddhist Mountains in China. It has been recognized as one of the original places in Martial Arts stories in China. It was listed along with Leshan Buddha as a World Heritage Site in the 1990s due to its rich nature and significance of its cultural status. Mount Emei is a big place. Emeishan is also home to Tibetan Macoks, who have find Emei as their home long ago. A dozen of Buddhist temples were built and kept its original style in Mount Emei. 
The hiking starts after a short bus ride to Wuxiangang Car Park where you will start the hiking. After check in to the park walk from Qinyin Pavilion to the Monkey zone via the Yixiantian Gorge and arrive at Hongchunping Monastery. After a short break, continue walking up the 99-bends to Xianfeng Monastery, one of the biggest monasteries in Emei Mountain. After a break by the monastery follows the continuous steep ascents on steps for 3-4 hours to reach Xixiang Chi (Xixiang Pond, or Elephant Bathing Pool). Elevation at Xixiang Pond is at over 2000 meters. 
Overnight at Xixiang Pond after around 8 hours of walking.

Day2 Emei - Chengdu
In the morning, it is another 2 hours’ walking towards Leidongping Car Park (the place where normally tourists get off the tourist bus), after Leidongping, walk for another 2 hours to the summit of Mount Emei to see its beautiful views and temples before go back down to Leidongping to catch a bus back to the base. And from the base of the mountain, you will be transferred back to Chengdu to be dropped off to your hotel or anywhere in the city that you prefer.

You will be fully guided throughout your tour.
 

 

Travel Tips:

 

1.Tour Pace is stressful (long hours of walking), make sure that you had good rest the former night.
2.The walking is from elevation of 600 meters at Wuxian Car Park to Summit at 3100 meters. The walking will be on steps whole way. Please consider your physical condition before sign up.
3.Be aware of the monkeys. They steal!
