Best Time to visit
Every day is a good day to see the lovely pandas. However in a day, you are recommended to visit the pandas in the morning before there is crowd and also because the pandas are more active and will be playing or eating outside.
Pandas for photographers
Despite the expectation that pandas are wilder in Ya’an Bifengxia and Wolong Panda Base due to their locations are closer to the actual panda habitats, the fact is if you are a photographer, the best panda base to go shoot photos of the pandas is the Chengdu Panda Base or Yaan Bifengxia Panda Base. It is because the trees are bigger and leafier given that it is almost impossible to see a panda in the wild in a short time of visit in Chengdu. Chengdu Panda Base/Yaan Bifengxia Panda Base are the best place to take photos of pandas as a photographer. The Chengdu Panda base has more pandas than that in Bifengxia Panda Base but the Chengdu Panda Base is the busiest panda base of all.
For professional photo/video people, if you want to carry your heavy filming gears to China, please read the detailed requirements on the filming gears by Chinese Costume. Some filming gears are strictly monitored in China. If you wish to see/take photos of pandas in the wild, please contact us as we can also organize such trips for you.
