Normally if you want to see a lot of pandas, the one in Chengdu is the best one. It is called Chengdu Panda Base and it has the most pandas in number of all these panda bases. It is close to the city of Chengdu with only 15km. But an issue is it is usually with a lot of visitors. (but now every panda base has a lot of visitors)
If you have limited time, Chengdu Panda Base is your best choice. If you wish to see pandas in a more quiet and wild environment, you can consider either Bifengxia Panda Base, but this one quite far away from the city of Chengdu. If you wish to visit go there, you will need a minimum of 1 day’s time.

If you want to do panda volunteer work. You can choose from either one of Dujiangyan Panda Base, Wolong Panda Base or Bifengxia Panda Base. However, we recommend the Dujiangyan Panda Base for volunteers as they have the best English-speaking workers and a more friendly and standard approach to volunteers aside from that Dujiangyan Panda Base is closer to the city of Chengdu than the other two panda bases. The two other panda Bases Wolong and Bifengxia are now difficult to arrange panda volunteer work.

Although when you look at the map, Bifengxia Panda Base is one the way to other further and beautiful places in western Sichuan such as Kangding and Yading, so you can also combine this panda base with your other travel plans in Sichuan to save time. And it is the same as the one in Wolong as it is on the way to Mount Siguniang.
